Healthy Chocolate Slushy!

Yes you read that right – a healthy chocolate slushy. Through my long periods of time shifting through the depths of the internet, particularly Pinterest [hint hint] I have found numerous recipes that I have been added to my ‘to-make’ list. This recipe being one that I have made hundreds of times, and its delicious!

I’m not going to bore you with all that healthy food and nutrition rubbish, but just a heads up, this recipe is 100% vegan. This is purely because I have become acquired to the flavour of almond milk over cow’s milk, which doesn’t taste as nice to me – but each to their own.

I am making the most of my Nutri Ninja, which I have to say is actually better than the famous NUTRIBULLET!

Healthy Chocolate Slushy

Serves: 1
Time: approx 10 minutes
The before…
…and after
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp cocoa powder (I used cocao powder it can be expensive, so its advisable to shop around)
1tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp chia seeds
8-10 ice cubes (8 is normally enough)

1. Break the banana into no bigger than 2cm chunks and place into the bottom of the blender.
2. Add the almond milk, cocoa, vanilla and chia seeds.
3. Top with ice cubes and pulse in blender until it is a slushy consistency.

Optional: Pour into a fancy mason jar and spam social media!
