Back in December, I attended my first ever blogger event in Birmingham. It was needless to say I was absolutely terrified; I didn’t know what to expect, who would be there and if I would make a fool of myself.
Now, it really wasn’t that bad, everyone was lovely and I settled in after we made our first drink (it was a cocktail making class). I went through all the items gifted in the goodie bag on my Instagram stories a few weeks after, it’s still saved on my highlights if you fancy a watch.
Since then I have had the chance to try out the razor we were gifted in our goodie bags, so I have finally got around to writing a review which I’m going to be 100% honest with. So let’s take a look at ‘Rose’ the aptly named razor from Friction Free Shaving…
Yes I know, it’s an extremely aesthetically pleasing razor. I’m aware some of you are probably sick of that rose gold hype but I am so not over it, sorry (not sorry!) Who cares if half of your friends are onto another colour scheme if you love all things rose gold.. step right this way. Just to mention, there is another handle ‘Silvia’ and yes it is silver so if rose gold isn’t your bag then fear not, there are other options!
Reading the reviews of FFS and hearing what Amber and Melissa had to say is one thing, but trying out the products for yourself and giving your own opinion is another. It’s amazing hearing rave reviews of how fantastic something is but that same product may not work for you, so I always advise testing it yourself (unless the review is absolutely bloody awful – I think I’d believe that one!)
Now I’ve rambled on for a bit, I better introduce you to the wonderful Rose:

My thoughts: At first glance, the razor is very pretty but does pretty mean it’s going to work or will it end up on the shelf just ‘looking nice’? I can confirm I will be sticking to using this over my usual razor for a number of reasons. Firstly, the look is extremely deceiving, I thought it was going to be heavy and awkward to use but it’s the complete opposite; the slightly heavier model makes it easier to grip and isn’t flimsy, neither did I have any blade escaping disasters!
To add to this, the Vitamin E strip is perfect because it limits any sore spots you may get from your average shaver and helps it to glide easily as you shave. Let’s just say it gets the job done, no faffing about, no red marks and no disasters.
