Well, I’m going to say it, this month has flown by (is it Christmas yet?) I’ve got back into the habit of making a note of things I’ve been loving recently in my bullet journal. I did kind of abandon the journal because I kept seeing all these amazing artistic creations and I can’t draw, so I think I’ve done pretty well considering. Maybe I’ll do a little insight into my version of a bullet journal soon?
Onto the favourites…
New Vegan & Vegetarian Menu at Ember Inns
I live next door to an Ember Inns pub and when I heard they had released a new vegan and veggie menu, I was really excited to try it. I was impressed to see they provide a three-course menu, with desserts other than boring old sorbet. I’m a fan of curries so opted for the roasted cauliflower curry and it was divine. It was just the right amount of spiciness and the salad complemented it really well, leaving me feeling pretty full. Definitely worth a try if you’re bored of other chains.
The Body Shop Pumpkin Body Butter
I am a long time lover of all things the Body Shop, particularly the body creams and butters. The scents make them good enough to eat and my usual go-tos are the vanilla and strawberry versions. I’m a sucker for a sweet scent so naturally, the pumpkin body butter was calling me. The only thing I have to mention about this body butter is it takes a long time to soak into your skin, so perhaps not the best option if you’re in a rush.
Help the Bees T-Shirt
I spotted this top (photo from website) on an advert on Instagram and ended up falling into a hole of vegan t-shirts. Anything bee related is a weakness of mine and yet another item to add to my ever-growing vegan top collection. I love any items of clothing that challenge the ‘norm’ and I always get plenty of people looking at the message it portrays, especially because it’s bright yellow!
Musicals
Many of us use Spotify to listen to music via our phones on the go and this is something I do almost every day. My listening habits change fairly regularly but at the moment I am really enjoying musical soundtracks. Some of my favourites have been Wicked, Six, Jamie, The Greatest Showman and A Star is Born. I find they keep me motivated when powering through a pile of work or in the background when I’m cooking my dinner or tidying my room. Have a listen to the Hits from The Musicals playlist on Spotify.
Until next time,
Neneh
